Texting your wedding vendors and wedding party
Your photographer, florist, DJ, and bridal party all need different information at different times. Put them in their own group and text just them, so a hair-and-makeup call time never lands in Grandma's phone.
Use groups to text the right people
Add vendors and the wedding party to your guest list, then sort them into groups like "Vendors", "Bridal party", or "Family photos". When you send, pick the group. Everyone else hears nothing.
Each person gets a private text, and replies come back to you. That keeps a timing question from your florist out of your caterer's phone.
Who usually gets their own group
- Vendors: photographer, videographer, florist, caterer, DJ or band, venue contact
- Bridal party: getting-ready location, call times, photo times
- Family for formal photos: when and where to be after the ceremony
- Shuttle riders: pickup times from each hotel
- Out-of-town guests: welcome dinner and brunch details
What to send vendors
Vendors already have your timeline. What they need on the day is anything that changed: a later start, a new load-in door, a different point of contact. Keep vendor texts factual and include who to call.

Questions couples ask
Can I text vendors without texting all my guests?
Yes. Put vendors in a group and choose that group when you send. Only they receive it.
Does each vendor count as a guest for pricing?
Yes. Pricing is $1 per person on your list, one time, so vendors you add count toward your total.
Can our planner manage this?
Yes. Invite your planner to the wedding and they can send group updates for you.
Do vendors need to download anything?
No. Everything arrives as a regular text message on their phone.
