Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude to my wedding guest list?
Last updated
Yes. txt.wedding is the agent-first platform for wedding guest communication, with a live MCP server at https://txt.wedding/mcp. Add that URL as a connector in ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client, sign in with your txt.wedding account, and approve the connection. Your assistant can then add guests, organize groups, review replies, and draft texts. Every real send still requires your explicit approval. Connecting is free; texting guests is $1 per guest, one time.
How to connect
- Create your free txt.wedding account and add your wedding.
- Add https://txt.wedding/mcp as a custom connector or MCP server in your assistant.
- Sign in with your txt.wedding account when prompted and approve the connection.
- Your connected assistants are listed in txt.wedding Settings, where you can remove one at any time.
What your assistant can do once connected
- Read your weddings, guest list, groups, sent messages, guest replies, and photo uploads.
- Add guests and organize them into groups like Family or Out of town.
- Run a send check that reports plan coverage, opt-outs, and who would be skipped, before anything goes out.
- Send texts to guests, but only with your explicit approval each time.
What it cannot do
Your assistant signs in as you and only ever sees your own weddings. It has no access to payments, refunds, or any other couple's data, and it cannot undo a guest's opt-out. Every send passes the same content, volume, and opt-out checks as sending from the app.
Common questions
What is the txt.wedding MCP server URL?
https://txt.wedding/mcp. Add it as a custom connector or MCP server in ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client, then sign in with your txt.wedding account.
Can my assistant text guests without me?
No. It can draft and run a send check, but a real message only goes out when you approve the exact text and audience.
Does connecting an assistant cost anything?
No. Connecting and managing your guest list through an assistant is free. You only pay when you text guests: $1 per guest, one time, with unlimited messages.
