Digital wedding guest book: how it works and what guests actually do

A digital guest book replaces the paper sign-in book with a link or QR code guests scan at the reception. They upload photos and videos from their own phones and leave a short note, and everything lands in one private gallery you can browse and share afterwards. How to set one up
- Create your free wedding page at txt.wedding/w/your-names.
- Print the QR code on table cards, the welcome sign, or the back of the menu.
- Guests scan, upload photos and videos, and add their name. No app and no account.
- You review everything in a private gallery in your dashboard.
- Share the public gallery link afterwards, or keep it private.
What guests actually contribute
- Candids from angles your photographer physically cannot cover.
- Video from the ceremony aisle, the toasts, and the dance floor.
- Short written notes, which read a lot like a paper guest book.
- Photos from the pre-wedding events and the morning after.
Paper vs. digital
Paper guest books produce a few dozen signatures. A QR code on every table produces hundreds of photos and videos within 24 hours, arriving weeks before your photographer's gallery. Many couples do both: the paper book for the keepsake, the digital gallery for the content.
Common questions
Is the digital guest book free?
Yes. The wedding page, the guest sign-up form, and the photo and video gallery are free for every couple. Sending SMS updates to guests is the paid part, at $1 per guest one time.
Do guests need an app to upload?
No. They scan a QR code, which opens a normal web page in their phone's browser.
Who can see the uploads?
You see everything privately in your dashboard. The public gallery link is only live if you choose to share it.
Can guests upload video?
Yes. Images are accepted up to 10MB and videos up to 100MB per file.
